Art is a verb, an action, the process of making something starting with an image or an idea. I use whatever knowledge of materials and techniques my experience has given me in my conversation with what my hands are forming.
I feel, I think many artists feel, an inner pressure to make something with ideas that arise in the heart/mind. These are gifts, to be shaped, molded, and brought new into the world.
And then, of course, there’s the sheer pleasure of manipulating clay or paint, lines on paper or in wire. What a fortunate calling!
