Virginia Sharkey’s painting, Tenzing was selected to be in Driven to Abstraction, held from February 8 to March 16 at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. She was also awarded the Coordinator’s prize, one of the five prizes awarded by the juror, Carl Hayward.
Several of the Partners have small works at Mendocino Gems in Mendocino, open daily 10:30 am-4:30 pm. Judy Beam (the owner) was one of the Partners for many years and is a big supporter of the gallery. Here is a link to their Facebook page:
Virginia Sharkey’s painting “Signatura” has been selected by Grace Kook-Anderson, curator with the Portland Museum of Art for the Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition, Blue Line Arts, Roseville, CA. January 11-February 22, 2025.

We are pleased to welcome fiber artist Adriane Nicolaisen to Partners Gallery as our newest member.
Adriane was a student of anthropology, and still looks to the anonymous masterpieces of ethnic textiles, as well as contemporary design sources in art and architecture. She has been hand weaving for more than 20 years, and has in recent years turned to felting, a more visceral process than weaving. “Wet felt is a very plastic medium where each new piece leads me in directions I had not anticipated. I now divide my time between the two art forms.”
