Partners is honored to present Odd is Good, an exhibition featuring the late beloved Hans Bruhner’s captivating assemblages. Using found wood that had been changed through use and weather, Hans created marvelous little beings: part bird, part thingamajig, part troll, part animal. To create these creatures he scouted out junk piles, antiques, garage sale finds, pieces of scrap on the street and his wife Anne’s quilting fabric hoard. His studio, itself a garage sale find that was bought and then rebuilt and assembled on the property, kept his stash of parts. Piles heaped on tables, shelves and in central mounds on the floor presented possibilities to him for easily finding the perfect addition for his work.
Come and see this amazing collection for yourself!
