Out of My Hands

2023 Exhibit

The original prints in this show are about letting go, kicking the illusion of control out of the studio and having fun. Impatience becomes a virtue as I make impulsive choices with big vibrant colors. Some days there is spontaneous combustion, where I am firing on all cylinders. Other days, overthinking kills the spark.

I continue to use unconventional tools (think credit cards and chopsticks!) to draw my freehand marks. I am passionate about printmaking as it requires careful crafting yet welcomes play and generates unexpected outcomes. Happy results propel me to take more risks; unhappy results are cut up to become greeting cards and bookmarks.
